Founded in 1990 by Mr. Eduardo Gutierrez and operating as The Student Alternatives Program, we rebranded in 2019 to Triumph Public High Schools. We specialize in serving high school students who are placed at-risk in completing their high school education. Responsibilities: The Truancy Officer provides assistance in understanding and applying required compulsory attendance laws under Section 25.085 TEC and resolving truancy, excessive absences, and tardiness problems. They provide assistance to campus personnel to include the attendance officer in interpreting and enforcing compulsory attendance laws and serve as campus liaison to parents, law enforcement agencies, and court personnel. This position may require some occasional work on Saturday’s, over the summer and some travel within the state of Texas.

Qualifications: 

• A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate required

• Valid Texas driver’s license is required

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree, or 48 college credit hours or higher preferred
• Background or course work in criminal justice preferred
• Texas certified process server or peace officer preferred
• Basic computer literacy required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
• Ability to read, write and understand English required
• Required to pass a pre-employment fingerprinting as part of the background check
• Required to submit original college transcripts, service records and credentials within first 30 days of employment

Pay Range Based on Education, Experience, Certifications and/or Credentials:

$26,400 to $29,040 per year

*Annually salary is calculated at a prorated rate from effective date of hire

This is a Grant Funded position, Triumph Public High Schools cannot guarantee employment beyond the length of funding.
